We just took a quick family vacation to New Orlean

We just took a quick family vacation to New Orleans and - WOW - talk about amazing celiac-safe options! I have never had so many restaurants be so accommodating other than in Las Vegas. Just wanted to say, if you haven't taken a trip yet to NOLA, do it.

Here's where we ate:

- Sucré (gelato) (not pictured)
- Red Fish Grill (steak and mashed potatoes) (not pictured)
- GW Fins (swordfish, fried shrimp, potatoes, sweet corn spoonbread) (not pictured)
- Gumbo Shop (jambalaya, red beans & rice, fried fish)
- Deanie's (fried shrimp + sweet potato fries)
- Bon's (Calas, beef tacos, fried chicken & waffles, gumbo)
- Meals from the heart (crab cakes, jambalaya, red beans & rice, gumbo, baked beignets)

There's so much more to being a travel advisor than you might assume 👩🏼‍💻

It's goes beyond just booking hotels or excursions.

It's strategically utilizing and earning loyalty points.

It's maximizing a client's budget, no matter the size.

It's being the extra helping hand when things go wrong, so you're not left stranded or scrambling.

Working with a travel advisor isn't a nice to have, it's an absolute must!

Can we please stop with the cross contamination language?🤦🏼‍♀️

Cross contamination is when harmful pathogens🦠 enter your food and can make you very ill.

Cross contact, for celiacs, is when something comes in contact with your food that has touched or been in contact with gluten.

Cross contact can still make you ill, but very different sources and responses by the body (pathogen vs autoimmune, for example).

I'm no dietitian, but the use of language tells me if you are. So many influencers and fake dietitians say cross contamination...and I immediately stop following them.

If you are recently diagnosed with celiac disease, be mindful of who you follow, trust, and buy from. Check for language people use, certifications, and reviews from real people. Having celiac is hard enough, following influencers who aren't medically knowledgeable makes it so much harder.
